Carrie K. MillierCarrie K. Miller, Chief Financial Officer

Carrie Miller, CPA, serves as Chief Financial Officer for SDG International.  Carrie graduated from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana in 1992 and after graduation moved to Indianapolis to work for the public accounting firm, Clifton Gunderson.  While there, she traveled extensively performing commercial, government and not-for-profit audits.

In 1998, Carrie began a new role as the Assistant Controller for the chemical manufacturing company, SePRO Corporation.  While at SePRO, Carrie reported to the CFO and CEO and supervised the bookkeeping and customer service departments.  She oversaw all domestic and foreign distribution of products, managed and reconciled all inventory levels, and produced and analyzed sales reports.  She also worked extensively with SePRO’s Marketing Managers on forecasting sales and expenses, and she assisted the CFO with the preparation and implementation of the yearly budget.

Driven by her passion for international humanitarian work through her church, Carrie pursued a job opportunity with CMF International beginning in late 2000.  Serving as the Senior Accountant, Carrie oversaw all domestic and foreign cash management, managed the collection and receipting of donations, and performed all payroll procedures, account reconciliations, and month end reporting procedures.  Carrie was promoted to a new role, in addition to her accounting position, as the Director of Urban Poor Ministries.  She had the fortune to travel in China, Vietnam and Thailand researching urban poor areas and other outreach programs targeting those areas.  She also studied and introduced Community Health Evangelism and Microfinancing strategies for CMF International in urban areas in Asia, Africa and Central America.  It was while working at CMF that Carrie met and worked alongside Dr. Thomas Foust.  Now Carrie serves as the Chief Financial Officer for SDG International.

Carrie’s husband, Clay, works as Quality Control Engineer for a large pharmaceutical company.  They have three young children and are in process of adopting an infant internationally.  Carrie is an avid runner and also enjoys playing tennis, hiking, gardening and cooking.  She also has a strong interest in politics and loves watching football.  Her passion in life is her family and international humanitarian work.
